I have an early 70's (pre 75) Javelin. Can anyone give me an idea of how to run the mainsheet? I have block mid boom and one at the end of the boom. I also have 2 blocks - one each at the port and starboard corners of the transon. There is also a block and cam cleat mounted on the centerboard trunk. Thanks JBB

the 2 at the trans are for a spinnaker, the mid boom and jam blocks are for the boom sheet, just lace it up and go. any other hardware would be for raising the keel, block on end of boom prob no longer used.

Thank you for the reply on the mainsheet question. I enjoyed the picture of the captain at the helm. His pensive appearance suggests that he may have sight of a cat-boat off the starboard bow.

Thank you - Javelin Mainsheet

Thank you for the reply. I did receive a reply from another forum explaining the run of the sheet using the transom blocks in conjunction with the block at the end of the boom. I understand that this is the Pre 1975 method. I think that I will take a look at a newer model to see if I can convert to the mid-boom only sheet. Thanks JBB

Your welcome, JBB! That's my First Mate, Miss Penelope Pitbull, or Penny for short. She loves cats, children, People, and other dogs, but loves to chase rabbits and squirrels. Penny is my best friend and I never sail without her.
