I spoke with Joan yesterday and she is in good spirits. She was taking JAVA out for the last time as it is now sold. Just waiting for the loan to go thru. Paperwork was an issue as it could not be found but that has now been resolved.
I told Joan that Jim's two loves were first, her and then JAVA. I told her in private conversation that Joan was the better sailor and he met it. We had a good laugh.
I will be staying in touch with Joan and there is a member on this forum who will be watching out for her and I suggest taking her sailing young rascal. Even a 23 footer would be excellent.

Joan is a good person. Her and Jim just went together and it was right.

I will miss seeing Java out there with those two. There is a huge piece missing from this area right now. I will miss rafting up and drinking rum with Jim.

My in-laws are moving to a place that is in the same neighborhood as Joan.
