Jim Seamans, Java, where are you today? I was monitoring VHF 16 from Smith Creek, Md. and heard some on try to hail you, but never heard your response. We decided to venture north from New Bern this year, got a late start, and got slowed down by a medical problem and the heat. We took a slip for a month at Point Lookout Marina and have really enjoyed the area, meeting other sailors, and cleaning nettles out of the AC strainer. We have run out of time and are waiting for the weather to change in our favor to run back towards Portsmouth on a cooler day. Looks like Friday/Saturday.

Hi Steve

When you going to go south to the keys or the Bahama's.
No not in the summer too hot but how about in the fall,I am up in NY touring in my motor home yes because it's too hot in Florida and light wind to sail this time of year plus Hurricane season.
I was heading over to the Bahamas July 5 on a friends sailboat from east coast but the tranny started making louds noises so towed back to Florida and instead flew over for the planned week,the plan was to sail over and the wifes were going to fly over and meet us in a rental house.
We did have a great time any way and the weather and water was great.

Hi Steve

Have been working a new house....
We are planning to be in St. Marys on Friday evening, Sat, and leave Sunday for Solomons. The boat is coming out of the water Monday for a going over for our trip down the ICW and to the Islands in October. Not sure who was calling me down there but could have been several people we know. We should be down there around 4-5 in the afternoon. Governor's Cup race is starting Friday at 6pm and finishes in St Mary's... You should stick around for it, Great Party.

Next few days should be great for weather. I spent 4 hours on the road getting back from DC this afternoon due to do some nasty thunderstorms and is not over yet.
