Keep fighting it Jim. I think that you have a lot more sailing to do!

Glad to hear that all is well. Be careful and have fun!

Great news.

Stuck in Stuart for 14 days? Big deal, I've been stuck in Stuart for 69 years! :)

Fort Myers?

Hello Jim:

While I don't think we've ever directly messaged before, I've followed you comments here for years. I thought you've recently downsized from the 356 shown on your bio.

Either way, the reason I've asked is that I have both friends and in-laws on Florida's west coast and have pondered doing the route you took down to Key West (60 ft clearance can't fit the Okeechobee bridges) and up to Fort Myers and on to Clearwater. Loaded up to cruise Dreamboat draws about 5'2".

I wonder if you (and of course other SBO members who read this question) can comment on sailing Dreamboat that route, particularly as to depth and bridge issues.

Thanks and I join the other wishes for many more years of sailing for you.

Btw...Jim...You better be sailing this summer. We need to find a good anchorage, some good rum, and a few other fellow cruisers to raft up with.

Hopefully I will be sailing the last week of May in Saga. She is really getting some work and she is turning into an able cruiser.

HI Jim,
It's great to hear from you! Keep up the fight and keep sailing! you're setting an example for the rest of us!
We've had 8 feet of snow so far, more tonight and then wind chills of -30 tomorrow morning. Sunday the forecast is for freezing rain...
Heading up to Portland for a Hunter club event (and to check on Escape) but I'm sure she's buried in the yard - spring seems sooo far away.
Enjoy the weather down south!

Keep up the fight, Jim- my wife has recently been through 6 months in hospital and a heart transplant- I can attest to how important keeping the fight up is. Good on you.
