Well after 7 months and almost 3000 miles, Joan and I will return to our home port at Cobb Island, MD. We are currently in Reedville enjoying our last night of our adventure to the Bahamas. Was it worth it? OH YEAH. The H356 performed wonderfully no problems. About three days ago as we crossed the Nuese River the clew attachment to our rolling main sail let go. Instead of trying to roll it in, we took it down. All I could see was it getting jammed, so we have a jib and motor. Should have seen us trying to get a main down in 25kts and stuffing it down the companionway to attempt to fold it up. Circus comes to mind...

Coming back we did two outside runs, one from St Augustine to Hilton Head, and then to Charleston, SC. Boat was sailing great and was taking the seas very well.

We are two very happy campers and will return to the Bahamas. The amount of people you meet is almost overwhelming and so much fun. New friends are always a treat.

I too kept up with your blog. I did the Abaco's last summer with a friend's Cat, and would love to do it really slow and take our time enjoying every Cay.

Cinnamon Roll lady

Is still there selling. She cornered us with her golf cart like a pro. Rolls were good but Joan would only let me have one. Being diabetic has it's drawbacks and this was a big one...
We will be headed back for th 12-13 season. Joan has already planned with the family a big reunion on a cruise through the Panama canal for next winter season.

At five bucks each she always makes the sale, convincing the buyer that this is the very last one for the day as she meets you at the dinghy dock. If you buy, she'll scoot back up the hill for another and greet the next dinghy. Free enterprise at its best.

Yesterday Jim was at my wedding. He had just gotten back into Cobb Island at 4pm on Friday.

In true sailor style Joan and Jim came to my wedding. It was good to have them aboard for such an event (no, the wife didn't let me have the wedding on a boat or on a dock but it was still fun).

I look forward to seeing Java out there this summer! I am heading out on the boat next Saturday for Solomon's. At least the wife is letting us use the boat for part of the honeymoon!!!!!!
