Sailing. I'm sure it will be a fast difficult to put down good summer read. I'm also sure this forum will also find every faux pas. I have a feeling that he sails. The picture of him on one of his books looks like he is on a boat.Frank
and even had a pic of them on some boat, but by their writing it was obvious they were getting info second hand. I, however, am a true sailing author, with two books, "The Bangkok Blues" and the "The Puerto Vallarta Blues" in print and available thru Amazon. Other titles, continuations of the same character, are in the pipeline.
It's actually titled "Sail"--a sailing horror story. Imagine that!Didn't realize that Patterson was a sailor. Other famous sailors include:Stewart WoodsWilliam F. BuckleyChristopher BuckleyWalter CronkiteMorgan FreemanNeil YoungStephen StillsThe guy from Duran Duran--what's his name? And of course, that Buffett guy. (Not Warren)any others?
Ted Kennedy. He and I are polar opposites of the political spectrum. Upon leaving the hospital after the news of his tumor, he only wanted to sail.Author Nathaniel Philbrick is another author. Non-sailor, but has written some excellent books on the sea.
Timo I think this is a book even you can get through.
I can't believe its gone to DVD that quickly. Read thw book before seeing the movie. Though it seems that most of his books read like they are wriiten for the movies, the movie versions are never as good as his books. By the way Timo we are still on for 4 days in Channel Islands on weekend of July 12. You're welcome to join us give me a call.Frank
If the book doesnt have pictures... actually I am reading Darkhorse, about the election and assasination of President Garfield for summer entertainment, and I did say I was waiting for paint to dry. ;D Tim
