Jack stands ok?

My Hunter 26 water ballast has always been stored on the trailer. I'm going to have some bottom work done this year. Can the water ballast boats go on jack stands?

Yes they can. I put my H260 on jack stands a few years ago to re-do the bottom, and I'll be doing it again this winter to do some extra work on the centerboard. Originally I used three, two in the stern under the aft bed and one under the bow, but I noticed that after a week the hull above the aft jacks had temporarily deformed slightly inwards, so my placement of those wasn't the best. On the sides of the boat near the front of the cockpit you'll see labels that say Sling Here. I'm assuming those are reinforced so I'll be jacking in line with those this time.

Check this pic out from Pat Adam's Centerboard project...The more you use the better. I think he used 6 stands.

Here's a pic of our boat at Schooner Creek Boatworks. They used eight jack stands.
