Jack lines on a 340

I am trying to figure out the best way to attach jacklines on my 340. I like the idea of running two of them down the center of the boat instead of along each side. I am wondering what the best way to attach them my be, especially toward the aft end. The cleats may be the best area in the bow, but right now all I see is maybe attaching them to the archway somehow. Trouble there is that they will extend off the center of the deck in the front portion of the cockpit. Any good ideas for attaching the jacklines on the 340?

Stop at the companionway and add a cleat/pad eye. you don't need them in the cockpit as you have the tether attached to something in there. You only need the jacklines when you go forward. This brings up the subject of what is the route you use to go forward. most of us do not go over the traveler/companionway, we go down the toe rail. Which is why I personally use two down the toe rail AND always work from the high side of the boat.

Same here. Pelican is a C30. With the Bimini up there's no way to go forward without going out the side first. My jacklines are secured on each side of the pushpit and go forward inside the shrouds to each side of the pulpit. I always go forward on the high side. Seems to work well for me.
