I have replaced the Joker Valve and Base Valve Gasket on outvJabcsco Twist and Lock manually operated toilet.

When I use the pump with the flush control lever open flush water runs into the bowl and all content led out through the outlet. When I pump with the flush control lever closed no fresh water runs into the bowl and all content led out through the outlet.

Is this the normal operation ? (Before the replacement the Bowl would fill with flush water when pumpning with flush control lever in open position)

I do not use the wet mode it always just screws up! So for 12 years now I have always just left it in dry mode and use the fresh water from shower.

+1. Have done it this way for years. Plus after flushing I've partially filled it with fresh water.

The joker valve design is terrible so as a precaution I change out the valve every season. On the other hand the valve on our electric 'jabsco quiet flush' seems to last longer. My wife also uses fresh water.
