I found an old thread in the archives section very helpful regarding upkeep of Jabsco manual toilets. It was well worth the effort to disassemble the pump and line it with a teflon greese. However, there was one problem I hadn't expected. When you pull the top off the pump - complete with handle and wet/dry switch, a free floating plastic part pulls away as well and I had no idea how it was supposed to fit back in properly. I reassembled the pump several times, placing this part in different positions, but the pump always leaked around the gasket. Finally I went ashore and found an exploded diagram and instructions on Jabsco's web site.Point #1: When disassembling (and reassembling) the pump, the wet/dry switch should be in the set in the "Dry bowl" position (to the right).Point #2: That free floating plastic part ("Top Valve Seat" #19 on the exploaded diagram) goes in first, under the black rubber gasket. I'd been trying to place it atop the gasket, not knowing it'd been pulled through the gasket's inner opening when I removed the pump head.It was a simple little detail, but one that left me without a working toilet for a day. Here's to hoping this helps someone else. The pump works like new again, and without the squeaking and with half the effort to pump it. I didn't need to replace any of the inner parts.I've included below, a link to the Jabsco page with the exploded diagram and instructions.Scott FraserKey West
