Odoriferrous Emminations: I want to let everyone know how pleased I am with the service I have got from Jabsco. When you have problems with the head like I have had, the problems tend to get worse and worse. I tried to ignore my smelly condition for a while. I got shaky advice from various sources and tried to buy fix-it up parts. I didn't want to tear out the head with all of the costs involved. Finaly realized that the problem must be addressed immediately. If you have a faulty part, call Jabsco and replace it!I cannot tell you how helpful Jabsco has been for me. Thanks Jabsco.

Their service is "inconsistent."

My first encounter with their telephone customer service was very good, also. However, subsequent contacts have been very poor. Maybe, you/I just got the right guy the first time. I won't buy Jabsco again bacause of their telephone "attitude." I'm going to replace my head with a Rariton when this one "goes south." Wynn Ferrel S/V Tranquility

Top Notch Jabsco

I had a few problems with the heads & 'Y' valve in my 340 here in the UK - after an initial e-mail followed by a second to clarify part numbers Jabsco replaced all the parts free of charge within a week - despite everything being out of warranty.

Outstanding service from Jabsco

All of my boats have had Jabsco toilets. The first problem I had, in the mid 90's, Jabsco replaced the whole pump assembly on an out of warrenty toilet. The most recent problem was with a switch on the Quiet flush conversion. Again, the switch was replaced with no questions and at no cost.

Rarely is a faulty part the cause of odor problems

So I'm very curious to know what part was replaced and how it solved your odor problem.

Reply to Peggy hall.

Peggy, The Jabsco posting was really to praise what I thought was a good company doing good things for it's customers. I needed to replace the plunger because it had corroded and was leaking causing the head to flood with bay water. My cylinder was also cracked and leakked water on compression. Jabsco gave me all of the the replacement parts even though they were really not in warranty. Where else do you find a manufacturer so willing to keep customers happy.

I was just curious...

You seemed to stress "smelly" problem, not mechanical...I just wanted to know more. Their customer service may be great, but the failures you describe shouldn't have happened in a toilet that's only old enough to be "not really in warranty"...or is it older than that phrase makes it seem?
