Jabsco parts order?

Does anyone know where to get Jabsco parts reasonably? I looked on their website and it looked like it was going to be shipped from England? We have one of those electric flush toilets that is probably the retrofit Jabsco to turn any toilet into a flush toilet. This weekend, I had to take it apart to clear a clog and the O-ring was stretched out and old (didn't fit back) and just needed replacing. Well, the only thing I can find locally is the rebuild or repair kit and it costs about $40. All I need is the O-ring and $40 is too high for an O-ring! Jabsco had $17 shipping on a $2.50 O-ring from England or something. I don't want the whole rebuild kit; and if it is going to cost $40 to replace the O-ring, I am just going to rip out that electric thing and put in a manual head. Anyone know where to look for individual parts? Thanks.

Find a real old fashioned hardware store

The kind that has all the neat stuff Home Depot and Lowes never even heard of. Take the o-ring with you and tell 'em you need one just like it. Should cost you somewhere between $.50 and $2. Buy a couple of extras...if you don't need one again soon, someone else will.

O Ring

The hardware store is a good idea and probably the first place I would check out. If you don't find it there, try a NAPA auto parts store. If those two fail, look for a large, industrial bearing supply company. They can get you any O ring you need,

may be another source. Though mostly sold in kits. Don't know if individual "O" rings can be purchased at the supply house. Home Depot sells some, Sears Hardware also has a good collection. I think Harbor Freight sells an inexpensive kit. r.w.landau

O rings

The previous comments are correct. "O" rings are available at any industrial bearing supply house. For "O" ring sizes, go to www.mcmastercarr.com Search "O rings". Select inch size & diameters required. Regards, Bob B.

Try the obvious

get a part number from Jabsco, give it to West Marine, and let them special order it if they don't stock it already. Not everything they have is shown in the catalogue, there is a good chance it has a WM sku and is in the warehouse. I believe Deltaville has both a WM and a BoatUS (same company, I know) so it should be REAL easy.

Deltaville Store...

bet money that the hardware store in downtown(?)Deltaville has o-rings. They are the type of store Peggy describes, and I've found just about anything I needed in there. Take it to them and say "I need this". Get a couple of extra while you're at it.

WM can order

Thanks. I went by West Marine and they can order the gaskets direct from Jabsco. They are something like $1.35 a piece. They take a couple of weeks, so I will try the hardware store for a temporary fix in the mean time.
