Well its official. I had to "sling" my H23... The water level in Lake Hefner is too low to do anything now. No hope in getting enough rain fall to even remotely make a difference. Lake level has been dropping at a rate of 6 inchs a week. It has no natural tributaries as it is an "end" lake and is filled via a canal from a river. It was very low to start the year. I had my 23 out for the winter to do some work on. Lake never got high enough until they decided to fill it with a water release from Canton lake in June. I got to sail all of 4 times this year. I was holding out for hope that either our rainfall fortunes would change or we would get another release from Canton. Alas the ramps are too shallow to pull the boat now since the lake is down 11 feet. Here's to a massive amount of rainfall this falll/winter/spring. I'm sure there are many in Texas that feel my pain.
