6 years of sailing a wreck with raggity baggity 40 year old much patched and taped and soft as a baby's bottom sails - we go out tomorrow for the first time with brand spankin' stiffies.
Upgraded most of the handling gear all summer while I waited for them to finally get here.

Not sure how I should act sitting relatively up right while helming a smart breeze.

Bet ya I'll grin..

Enjoy! She'll carry more speed down the straights, and she will come out of the corners faster! Just watch out for slower traffic!

When we replaced the main on Silent Running (our Mac 25) this spring we felt the same way. It's like Christmas morning all over again, each time you raise the new cloth ;) . Be prepared to do battle with flaking/folding/packing up for a wile, but you'll get the hang of that after a few times also.

There is a 50:50 chance your new main will not fit under your old sail cover. You'll be surprised how much more room the full thick cloth requires.
