removehtml]....drop to 27 here along the northern Gulf Coast. The prelude for tonight's cold weather was a rainy Saturday when neither man or beast could be on water. To survive this weekend's rainy and cold interlude I began looking through sailing photos of earlier times when temperatures where in 80' and 90's, a time when we were out on the water enjoying a quiet anchorage or gentle breeze. The accompanying photo represents one of those good times when my sailing buddies and me were anchored in Big Lagoon near Pensacola, Florida, enjoying warm weather and sunny skies. Perhaps one of the best achorages along this part of the northern Gulf Coast, Big Lagoon offers beautiful white beaches, clear water, and wonderful scenery. Have you a favorite anchorage that you enjoy????....one where you spend many wonderful days when temperatures are high and the water refreshing? If so, then share it with us on this cold dreary Saturday evening. It'll warm all our hearts and make us yearn for sailing days to come.
