I recently purchased the Poli Glow kit and the fiberglass shines like new. I have already had comments from another boat owner on my pier wanting to know what I was doing, what I was using, and where I got it. I applied it to my deck and cockpit. The Poli Prep did a great job of getting all of the crud off, although it could have done a better job getting off the oxidation (perhaps more elbow grease was needed). It did however yellow my white fiberglass, but only temporarily. Once it was hosed off and dried, it was white once again. Places with only slight oxidation took only a couple of coats of Poli Glow to restore the shine, but areas of heavy oxidation took 3 or 4 coats. I still have a few places to touch up, as well as a couple of runs to re-do, but she looks like a new boat. I figured that this was the last option before repainting the deck. Hopefully, with the prescribed maintenance, it will hold up over time. I have used water based polyurethanes before, and this stuff looks and feels the same. Is that what this stuff is, but perhaps with some U/V protection added? Joe s/v Charis

Can't wait to try it.

I have had the kit in my basement for about 9 months. It has rained consistently since the boat went in on April 27. Glad that some people are able to clean, polish, and sail. And very glad that PoliGlow is working.

Joe D. How old is your boat? And how many months

per year did it sit in the sun?....How badly was it oxidized?

My boat...

is a 1984 Hunter 31. It is in the sun 12 months a year. The guy we bought her from took very good care of her mechanically, but she needed (and still needs) a lot of cosmetic TLC. The hull was in great shape from a bottom job that was done this past November. The deck and cockpit oxidation were pretty bad however. I attempted buffing it out and waxing, and for all the effort it was taking, it still looked awful. I figured the Poli Glow was a last effort before painting the deck. We'll see how it holds up.

Made my boat look new again!

Been using Poli Glow on my boat now for 2 years. I'll never use wax again! 20 year old boat and it looks like new.
