Us cheapskates use snow around the foundation. You have to clear a path around the house either for snow removal from the roof or oil fill access. Just aim the snowthrower at the base of the house.

So! It is snowing in Carson City, NV this afternoon and the wind was hitting 90-100 in the Reno area yesterday. Over 1 ft. of snow on Hwy 80 over the Sierras last night and still snow this afternoon.
But I'm on the coast, AKA sea level with a warming sea breeze!
OH, it's s'pose to be in the 70's this weekend. Maybe I'll get Pheonix out after all. I have to get in the water to launch her (trailer sailor) so I like to come out into air that's warmer than the water. (I was in the POOL!)
