Iso Therm mixing value install

I purchased a hot/cold mixing valve from Fishermans and plan on incorporating it into my hot water system, but it did not come with any info-sheet showing how it should be connected to the hot and cold lines.

Has anyone installed one of these and clarify for me the plumbing connections.

I assume the inputs are the two threaded inputs on the body and the mixed water comes out the bottom. Assuming that is correct, does it matter which side is HOT ?

Thanks,

Sure when you try to dial water temp turning up or down the temperature.

That valve is shown attached to an ISO slim water heater if that helps. Use the arrows. They indicate the flow of water. The orientation in this image shows cold water comes in opening opposite the adjustment knob.

Arrows on the valve body indicate the direction of the flow.
KV = incoming cold water
VV = incoming hot water
BV = outgoing warm water

If you want an additional feature, purchase a brewers thermometer with a long probe at a brewers supply. Use a tee fitting into your water heater and thread the thermometer probe through and into your water heater. As you motor along you can determine when the water is hot enough to shower with.
