Wonder if anyone has information on the Islander 24, how well built is it compared to a Cal 24, Columbia 24 or some of the other popluar boats? I am very interested in the Islander 24 that I have found for sale here. Thank you for your time. Tony

Robert Perry designed the I24 built in the late 70's - great boat - but I seem to recall potential for compression post problems. Best of luck, Rob

Tony, Supposedly the early Islanders were built extremely sturdy. I just bought one 3 weeks ago. Need to replace some seacocks, but otherwise is great. Try islandersailboats.com That's a owners website and has discussion board just for islander sailboats. Bill W.
