1984 H27 and I am wondering if this is the original traveler set up??? It is really sticky and if I want to get boom out, sometimes I have to pop the line out of the clam cleat and push the boom out. If I have a good wind, I can feed the line and it will take it. But in light wind, I am pushing boom out. The blocks are "Marimen" with a trident symbol. Anyway, thinking might change the line and see if that helps or maybe time to upgrade. Don't want to upgrade if don't need to. This is a 3-4 year learning boat.

Yes, that is the original factory setup. You can get some new Schaefer blocks and reduce the diameter of the sheet for less friction. If I recall correctly the boat did not come with a boom-vang and installing one would improve significantly your ability to manage the boom.

Right on! Thanks for the input. Will try lube first then boom vang. I'm sure new line wouldn't hurt either.
