Maybe I shouldn't complain but the registration for my two, small, trailers was $100 for one year. Then there's the inspection. And the boat yard, never shy to get in on the fun, gets about another $150 for grease, checking tire pressure, and checking lights. I do appreciate their services but I used to have the erroneous notion that trailering a boat is without expense. If I didn't have a free place to keep the trailer(s), there would be the trailer/boat storage fees and in the off season, trailer storage. In other words, the savings have to be looked at with a sharp pencil.
