I'm looking at some used sailboats (including Hunter's) to buy and need some help evaluating the prices. I've heard there is such a pricing book available called the BUCS book. I have seen it in hard copy at dealers, but wondered if it is available on the net. Does anyone know of it's existence or location on the net? If so, what is the address? Thanks.

Buc Net

Hi Dave; There is a site on the web called the Bucnet. Unfortunately, you must be a member and subscrribe to get the data. Most yacht brokers are members and are usually most helpful about getting info if you ask. Sandy

expensive but necessary

If you are in the market for a used boat, these books are a great place to find the price ranges. They come in three volumes and can be purchased separately. 1905-1981. 1982-1990 and 1991-1998.Try them at 800-327-6929.

A helpful alternative

This website works similar to BUC except there is no subscription charge. They do carry information on a number of boat types, maybe what you're considering might be in there. The url: http://www.nadaguides.com/ValuesHome.html It also gives you the option to add certain upgrades which affects cost. I hope this proves helpful. Winni s/v Island Hops H34
