It may or may not!

Pearson made a 24 and two 26's between 1967 and 1983. Neither of these designs looked anything like the one shown. They did not make a 25 untill the mid 80's

In the mid 80's Pearson produced a line of boats called the Triton. There was a Triton 25 built for several years, then the name was changed to Pearson 25 to eliminate confusion with the old Triton 28 that was built fron 1957 through 1967.

The Triton 25 began as the Buccaneer 25, then the molds were sold to US Yachts and they marketed it as the Triton. Pearson bought the molds from US Yachts.

If I remember correctly, the Buccaneer/Triton/Pearson 25 was designed by Gary Mull. If you attach the stern picture it may shead more light on this. The Mull designs had a very "pinched " in stern.

After 1973 every boat built in the US had to have a HIN, or hull number. It was to be located on the starbord side at the stern. (Most are on the upper side on the starbord transom). If the number starts with PEA, then it is a Pearson. I don't know what the manufactur identification number is for US Yachts or Buccaneer.

Hope this long winded description helps.

Congratulations on the Peterson!

I should have recognized the boat as I chased Petersons for several years when I raced 1/4 tons. That was about two ages ago.
