So We've Heard

Today it is cold, down in the mid 60's with the sun shinning and about 15 to 20 knots out on the water. But the water temp is still in the low 40's so it is colder than a well diggers back side out there. Went out last weekend for a couple hour sail and it was addicting. Can't wait,,like you I'm sure! So sorry about all that white stuff for you. That is one of the two things I don't miss about living in Wyoming. The other is the lack of water out there to sail on!

It's all relative

It’s all-relative. Where I live, if you want to know the temperature of the water, you must first drill a hole through three feet of ice. "Cold down in the mid 60's" is shorts weather.

I plan to put the boat in early April. It is nice here in NJ! You guys need more oil refineries!

Scott B, do you keep your snow blower in the living room?:)

I didn't see it next to your boots. I don't think I could handle snow like that... r.w.landau

made a mistake today...

...and wore jeans to the boat. I'd started the morning out wearing a short-sleeved shirt, of course, but I was wearing long pants nonetheless, despite it being March. Heavens, was I hot! Fortunately, I had a spare pair of shorts onboard, and was able to climb into them before heat exhaustion ensued.

I wore shorts playing golf yesterday, and the legs were mildly sunburnt.

Almost clear here

We have just gotten through the snow enough to take down the Christmas Lights. I am hoping to attack the swollen swing keel in the next week or two. Joe -- We are drilling through the ice at this point too.

Mixed blessings

in the weather. We've had several days of sunny weather and pleasant, for winter, temperatures. Even got some yard work done. The problem is that the local resevoir fills from rain on the coast range, not snowpack from the cascades, and the Corp of Engineers has been know to really goof up on filling the resevoir. Fortunatly, rain is predicted. Jim Kolstoe, h23 Kara's Boo

yea..... right next to the snowmobile eh. ;D That was mostly drifted in. That side of the house was mostly sheltered from the wind. Spent most of the day out with the snowblower doing driveways. Haven't seen this much snow here in 15 years.

My season started

Last sunday! It took a 500 mile jounrey south with the boat in tow, but boy was it worth it. and that was just to Rock Hall, MD. Live on lake ontario for a while and you will start putting boats in mid march

LMAO @ SteveC

Now that's a picture. :D I spent Saturday scrubbing the deck and cockpit on my boat. Wore shorts and tee. It was a beautiful day and I should have been on the water, but I want a pretty boat. You guys still getting snow, be patient. It will soon come to pass and you will be enjoying the water too. Stay warm and dry.
