My H22 has the ballast built into the hull. how much is in the keel, and is it designed to rest on the keel?

My trailer was not designed for this boat

Which version of the H22? The 1981-85 version of the H22 has a neutral buoyancy keel, with no ballast to it. All the ballast is in the hull/bilge. While I sometimes let her run aground and dry out with the keel up (for cleaning), she isn't really resting on the keel. I don't think I would transport her that way.

I became a dealer when the 22 was being phased out and know all the other small boats since then. However, from a standpoint of knowledge, if the swing keel with neutral buoyancy rests totally within the hull, then the weight of the entire boat will rest on the bunk boards of the trailer like the Hunter water ballast boats. I have heard of people letting the boats rest in the sand/mud to repair or clean but you best make sure if doing so, there are no rocks, debri and so forth on the bottom when you do that.

I will add pics of the trailer this afternoon. I have never dealt with any trailer issues in the past. That being said this is a new issue for me. My experience lays solely above the trailer.
