Rich- I have a 361, and we spend every weekend in the summer on it with our 2 and 4 year old kids. I can't imagine that the 351 is that much different than the 361. Here's why I'd say yes: the traveller is on the coachroof which may be sub-optimal for sailing purists, but it's nice to not have a moving traveller be a factor (safety-wise) with the kids in the cockpit. Kids can stay safely and comfortably in the cockpit while leaving enough room for those sailing to do so. We have added safety nets from the lifelines around the entire boat, which again may not be the preferred aesthetic, but its a must in my opinion. Lastly, there's plenty of room down below for sleeping, eating, playing, etc. Hope this helps, have fun!
