Anyone know of a source for the panel breakers (E-T-A 45-700, push-on type)? Or the Jensen light switches? How about what transmission was installed with the Perkins 135? Curtis L. Wood WindDancer (Irwin 52) Shilshole Bay Marina

Breakers and Switches

Circuit breakers are manufactured by ETA and thepart number is 45-700-S14-P10 I have an alternate or maybe new number for the same thing, as follows: 2-5700IGIK14P0DD5 or BDA20A). I bought minethrough Sager Electronics 800/724-3780. The plastic 'guts' of the Jensen switches are available at West Marine. Unscrew the aluminum plate from the wall and carefully unplug the existing switch (using zip ties or electrical tape to hold the wires in place). Take the switch to your West store and ask for a replacement of just the switch. Don't ask for a Jensen switch or you'll spend an hour waiting for the clerk to thumb through the catalogue; just show him what you need! It should cost you only a couple of bucks. Also, if your metal plate is bent or beyond its service life, have your local machine shop cut you a new one. It'll cost you another couple of bucks ... and you'll have a new switch. Happy sailing!
