I also have an Irwin 39. I just bought it infact and motored it from Ft. Meyers to Stuart via the Okeechobee water way. So far I love the boat. It has the same engine as yours. As I was coming across the state I kept the engine RPM's around 1800. This was recommended by the previous owner and it seemed to provide the most efficient speed with the least noise and vibration. My boat has a tendency to pull to starboard while motoring along. Once I get a chance to actually sail the boat I'll see if it was prop walk or a rudder imbalance.
