Can someone show me what the support between the compression post and keel is supposed to look like on an Irwin 32? Mine is heavily rusted, and I can't make out what shape it was or where it attaches. I'm guessing the holes in the sole on either side of it are there to allow it to be replaced?

Thank you, that was one I had not found yet, but I'm fairly certain that my 32' Classic uses a wooden compression post (built into the bulkhead next to the head) and, perhaps, a more solid metal block in the bilge.
It sounds like Irwin went through several iterations on their design, and perhaps mine initially had a wooden block in the bilge that a previous owner replaced with something metal. I'm in contact with the POs, as they are in my extended family, so I will check with them.
