Okay, please forgive me.

You may need to look below the dialogue box you're using, to find the "go advanced" button?

I took a snapshot of your masthead photo, and then retrieved it from my iPad's photo cache.

To further clarify, you'll probably need to have the photo you wish to upload in your iPod's photo cache.

In the "go advanced" dialogue box, when you click on the camera icon, a separate tab will open.

You then click a "choose file" button on that separate tab, click "choose existing", then select the photo from your cache, and click "upload".

Once it has uploaded, click "close this window", which should dump you back to the "go advanced" tab.

Clear?

Press the "go advance" button at bottom of message box, under the heading "attach files" press "upload Photos or Files here", choose "browse" to find the photos in their respective folders on your IPad . When you've selected you pics, you must UPLOAD them first, wait for that process to finish then you can continue to Submit reply.

If you have pictures that have a URL (web address) you can use the same procedure... or... you can incorporate an image into your text by using these HTML commands to bookend the picture's web address.....

If you had your photos stored in a website, the second option (url) is what you'd use.

Also, if you want to post a photo from another website (a catalogue, for instance) you can hover the cursor over the image and "right click" to select "properties". when the "properties" box appears find the location url..... it will normally have a "jpg" or "gif" extension as part of the address... that's how you know the address refers to the image.... anyway.. copy the image url and paste it into your text with the html commands mentioned above and you'll have the picture appear in the text.

I've got to admit, I've got an iPad Air I'm using right now, mad I don't see an advanced option. All that stuff works no problems on my laptop, but I have no idea of how yet to post a photo on this thing..

(And there is no cursor)

What happens when you tap "reply (w/quote)"?

There appears to be no such thing on this pad. Or I'm too dumb to find it, I haven't had it but a week.

Haaaaha. Straight from the abacus to the IPad. You know Stu, I never thought I would say it, and I gotta be honest about it, bit it have taken an affinity to the thing. I said 15 years ago that the inability to grasp the computer would result in the inability to ever order a hamburger or get a drivers license in ten years. I've missed it be a few years, but I still stand by the statement generally.

The wife came home last week with two brand new of these IPad Air's, and while I truly think she bought me one as a peace offering because she spends so much money. While I couldn't care less how much she spends, as I DO end up with neat toys on account of it. But the long answer is yes, I think I like it very much. Maybe too much...

And I think I just now figured out how to post a picture from it., here goes..

Chris

Nice peekture. A little out of focus, but aren't those doohinkers supposed to be self-regulating and self-focusing? And aren't you supposed to be IN the peekture, too? I'm told all you have to do is hold them out like you're planning to hand them off to a crewmember and then snap! Oops, that handy "click" disappeared, too, from those old fashioned things called kameras...:D

Chris, The more you use it the more you'll like it. You will find, like you just did with the SBO app, that apps frequently work differently than the full blown web site. That just takes getting used to. Have fun with it.

Just another old fart learning curve Ward. My poor laptop is more or less neglected now. Despite the usual aggravation a I have stuck with PC/android-jellybean for years, but this little Apple is pretty neat.

I got all these photos into my SBO album from Dropbox. But I cannot figure out how to use the SBO album images in "replies". Tried url for Dropbox in the "reply" from the advanced section but that did not work. So what's the use for the SBO album if you cannot easily insert photos in reply or posts in the same way I can insert from my Ipad Photos cache ?
Downloading images to the iPad Photos cache is not easy either.
