My Heart Inverter model HF-12 1200 SU, a 1200 watt unit was working just fine until today. For some reason the "On/Off/Reset" switch won't slide any more and the inverter just keeps clicking on and off when I knock it the side. Any suggestions on how to repair it . I have e-mailed the heart web site but no reply as of yet. Thanks, Barrie

hello barrie, it sounds like the circuit braker ( reset switch ) is triping. turn it off for a while. then, when cool, if it continues to cycle off and on try replacing the switch. circuit brakers get weak after they have tripped a few times, john

My 2000 watt inverter was acting similiar last September. I chased my problem down to the battery cables. Some one had commissioned the boat with welding cable to start with and they weren't sealed from the salt air/water. My inverter shower charged batteries yet it kept trying to charge them......

As Larry said, turning the inverter off for a while and letting it cool could work. I've got an older Freedom 10 and this has worked for me. Sometimes I have to come back the next day. One could also try contacting Heart. Their web site is http://www.heartinterface.com/. They also do service if you ship your unit to them.
