Hi all,

I have bought a few months ago Freya (V-1493). I have taken her out
many time with great satisfaction. The SF Bay has great year round
sailing conditions. I find my Vega to be is a sweet boat to sail. I
have done sailing before in Canada, but never owned my own boat up to
now. I am not regreting my purchase. I'm keeping her in Tiburon CA on
the Northern part of the Bay.

She has been neglected in the past years and is in great need of TLC,
and after accomplishing the most urgent tasks I am down to a more
gentle rythm of maintenance and upgrades. I would certainly benefits
from the advices and experiences of other Vega owners as I drill down
my list of things to do.

I was wondering if there are other Vega owners in the San Francisco
Bay Area?

Hello Jean,
I am a Vega owner in the San Francisco Bay area. I
keep Sjofagel at Berkeley marina. I believe there are
a few others here at the berkeley marina as well, but
I have never heard from them on this news group.
Occasionally I organize overnight raft-ups at Angel
Island. If you are interested, let me know and I will
email you an invite next time I do it.

Howdy Jean,
In that case I will invite you to the one I already
have planned for Friday November 18th. I will be at
Ayala cove on a mooring Sometime that afternoon. I
plan to have some tibetan praler flags flying so my
boat can be identified. If it's after dark i will
have some small chinese laterns up. Anyway you know
what an Albin Vega looks like. My cell number is
510325-4941 and it works out at the island. So you
can call if you have difficulty. I'll be monitoring
channel 16 as well. Look forward to meeting you
Tootles,
Stacey
