Internal Outhaul Access

I cannot reach into my 8 ft boom to re rig the outhaul. The lines got old and failed. Any ideas,. tips.

If a snake is not available, take the boom off and stand it on its end near a staircase. Drop the line down and fish it out on the other end.

Nice boat. If everything fails you could always consider rigging an external outhaul. You may attach a block at the end of the boom and a small cleat to secure the line from the clew.

I removed the end cap on mine and used an electricians fish-tape to install the new line. Mine also had a 2 to 1 purchase on the mast end.
