I have a 1982 33'(77-83) and want to replace the interior hull covering, which is currently a carpet-like fabric glued to the hull. I have heard of using wood stripping, foam-backed vinyl and this carpet-like fabric. Any suggestions, and where to get the material, would be appreciated. Also, would it be necessary to remove all of the old glue even though it is still in good shape?

Photo Forum.

Search the Photo Forum with keywords like "v-berth" or "carpet". The Related Link is one example. This one with insulation and cedar planking. Also search for one titled: "Strengthening, insulating, and making it cozy". Both excellent detail and photos. You can also check out the headliner and upholstery material available at most autobody shops. Also Ron's idea of calling Sailrite. They sent me their sample page. There are five samples: two are foam backed, two are padded, and one is a nice cloth. They will also discuss application with you. I like the Photo Forum solutions because they include insulation. But even a new carpet over some glued on insulation could work.
