I just bought my first boat. It's a 1974 Hunter 25. It needs some work. All of the interior paint is peeling. I plan on ripping out the cushions, carpet, and repainting the interior. Does anybody have ideas of what kind of paint to use. I saw in another article that you might be able to use exterior house paints. Thanks for all the help.

In the past I used exsterior house paint to paint the inside of a CAL 25. It looked pretty good and lasted for years. I would not spend the extra money for marine paint for the interior. Good luck.

Interior paint Hunter 30 1978

Someone tried to paint over some patches down below in our old boat and didn't get a very good match. After 3 visits to the paint store (any paint store would do), we mixed a PERFECT, exact match of semi-gloss interior latex. Easy to use and easy to clean. I keep a small jar on board (during the season) and a few foam brushes. As I find touch up areas or stains appear, a few swipes (in a taped of area) ... and it's good as new. A quart would likely do the trick for you (depending on the surface area and condition).
