Where can I find the spring that hold the door latch and handle in place for the interior door handles. I can locate a replacement handle at a very high price.

Remember a discussion about this awhile ago. Good luck trying to find a replacement spring. As I recall, if it were my boat, I would fabricate a replacement with some spring steel wire. I think that is what the OP did, but unsure of the outcome. Ours remain in good condition, so have not crossed that bridge. Someone might have a used assembly for a reasonable price. Might be worth a go to fabricate one until that day comes.

A friend had this issue on his Catalina, he called Perko and they sent him a spring. Don't know who made your hardware, might be worth a try.
FYI, on my 1994 Hunter 40.5 I found that the original manufacturer had been purchased and integrated into another company. A replacement was not available. I made a new spring by winding piano wire. Had been working for about 10 years on two handles. Good luck.
