Interior Cowel Cover for 473?

Looking for an interior cowel vent opening cover to use when we have heat and/or AC running...the painters tape and stuffing with a hand towel is getting old. Thoughts? Can't seem to find anything online except for an external cover.

An appropriate size inspection plate. Mine are screw-in but friction would work if you add a pull string.

My 2007 B373 has a plastic cover plate that seems to be an OEM part. The wooden part in your picture is Beneteau part # 037357. I could not find the topsides dorado vent or the plastic cover plate on the Beneteau parts site. I recommend you email them your picture and I bet they can tell you the part you need. Yea we use painters tape as well on our 423..... we use green!

I just take two white hand towels. Fold over to about 3” wide strip. Roll up and insert in the hole. Works great. Towel is not visible. Pull out when fresh air is desirable.

On the 423 and I think the 473 the interior of the vents has a screen that is maybe an inch off bottom. Can’t just put something up there..... that’s why the tape works so well!

Other options,

1. Get a plug for the outside cowl vent. Fill the Outside with a removal plastic plug.
2. Take outside cowl vent off and make a cover to close the vent hole.
3. Make a neat and trim Sumbrellea cover using Sail Rite techniques.
4. Get an Amazon box and put it over the vents. Maybe you can sell them on the aspect of advertising.
5. Get a couple of 5 gal buckets from HD or Lowes. Cover the vents. When not in use they can double as a Porta-Potty.

Or for the 3 times I need it I could use nice green painters tape!
