The carpet which covers the interior sidewalls of my 1981 O'Day 25 is falling down because the adhesive is failing. Any tips on how this problem may be corrected? Thank you, John Pollock

My interior was in such a bad way that I pulled it all off. Some of the foam backing was still sticking to the inside of the hull. I used an orbital sander to get off the rest of the foam reasonably well. Now I'm installing some new foam backed vinyl with spray on contact cement. Good luck

Foam removal
I used a cup brush on a 4" angle grinder. Did both sides from bow to companion way and quarter berth in a day. Wore a tyvek suit with gloves and a hepa powered hood. After a while, you forget you're soaked in sweat. Lots of vaccuming afterwards.
