Seems interesting times call for interesting measures...

Left Coast boats is looking to sell one of their new 27 foot Dart models under a 'Gambler's Auction'. This is where they start at the original price of the boat, and drop it $1000 a day until it sells.

It looks fast. And its already 11k off the fully tricked out price. Take a look at the boat, or just watch the process in action here:

PS - I have absolutely no horse in this race.

I sailed on hull #1 (#2 is the one for sale) in October. It's a fun, fast boat and #2 is even better.

Jim's a nice guy and I hope he sells it soon.

BTW, I'm the guy with shirt pointing at the logo on Jim's auction but I don't have any financial interest - just severe boat envy. :D

When I was a dealer, I use to respond to questions based on knowledge, expertise and experience. However, I did not divulge my dealership, information, location and so forth as this forum is to help those who have questions and we, sailors, can make suggestions. It is sad when I do see dealers and recently advised one to be cautious. It is sad to see that dealers still try from time to time use this forum as an ad. Pretty sad. You can advertise in the appropiate column but there is a fee associated with that. I am not trying to police this site but have a lot of respect for what this forum is intended for and that is to help other sailors with their boats.
