Interesting Vessel

Saw an interesting vessel on the water yesterday. A tri-hull flying a gaff rigged mainsail but notice the jib in the photo set on a one-piece boom extending forward as well as aft of the mast rather than on the stem of the vessel. Anyone know what kind of rig this is and what its sailing qualities are?

I believe the mast is on that boom also. Supposed to be easier trim ? IIRC it might be called a "Vison". Once you trim both sails, you only have to ease/haul the boom to trim both to the new wind angle.

Looks like how some small remote controlled sailboats are rigged so that everything can be trimmed by a single servo motor. I wonder if it's some kind of larger version of that for single handed trim.

Very interesting. A good read. Thanks. I'd like to see the rig on a run.

Believe that is called an "Aerorrig" tm the idea is that the force of the jib balances the main to a certain extent so lower forces on the mainsheet, trimming is supposedly easier as one sheet eases both the main and jib (more or less)
