Interesting Sailboat

Went sailing today, and this was parked in the spot I normally park in at the marina. I don't know what it is but I like it.

Fast boat .. there is a guy in the yacht club at Mandeville who campaigns successfully in national competitions in his.. My son and I were out in my boat a couple of weeks ago.. clocking right along and he just flew on past us.. I think Cruising world did a report on one 6-8 months ago.. probably available on line to read, Ken..

my grandfather built the precursor to the corsairs. . .a Trailer-Tri 680. . .some 25 years ago. . .only one in this area (or in the next few states from what he tells me). Boat was fast, very fast!! I loved that boat, he got rid of it though. . .that's what got me into sailing

Ahh, memories. . .seen a couple corsairs out here though. . .very expensive!

There are 2 F-24's and an F-27 on our lake. I've been trying to keep my wife off them because I can't afford for her and the grandkids to like it!

I remember back in the 80s there were 2 or 3 companies making trailerable tri's.
Interesting for sure.

My son was on a hike to a remote lake in Oregon (can't recall the name of the lake) and he had a picture of one of those on the lake. Without any marinas on the lake, I was baffled how there could be a trimaran in those waters .... these photos explain it!
