Bottom line. If the PHRF spreads are >>20 secs/mile -- a bias to the lower numbered will creep in.
When you start getting spreads of 50+ no real purpose in going out, other then have a good sail. Do not get disappointed if your boat is on the higher end of the PHRF ratings and you do not finish in the top.
