Insurance for older boats

I have Allstate for home, auto, & liability so called them and they put me with Progressive. I'm insured for agreed value and have had no claims but the rates have been really good for a 1988 ODay 322 and an Ericson 32-3.

I re-insured thru an agent last year, after Geico/boatUS refused to cover our boat for an increased Agreed Value after a total refit. With new survey in hand - with cited comparable values - a new insurer wrote a policy with no fuss at all. A good marine insurance agency is the different, IMHO.
This is a 1988 boat originally constructed by Ericson Yachts, and then re-engined and refinished by a well known NW ship wright.

Henderson insures old classic boats that most other insurance companies won't. Of course they require a satisfactory survey and also you have to show that you have experience with boats. If you are new to boating and have no experience, they won't insure you.

I have Progressive. There's some threads with positive feedback from owners who submitted claims. I hate Geico they were calling and harassing me up to six times a day to settle a car accident
