Insurance for bahamas????

Can anyone suggest an insurance company that will cover a hunter 260 in the bahamas?Mine will cover boats over 30' but won't touch anything under. Yes I know....they may be trying to tell me something but....still intend on going.thx in advance

I'm going

with a group of 24 boats June 17 to the island of Binimi. Baums Rush, Hunter 260 PS Alstate covers out to 100 miles off the coast.... works for me

Im planning the run!

Im in a Venture 222 and have Allstate! As stated above, they insure out to 100 nautical miles, easily covering the Conch run to Bimini! I hope to join them in this years run!

don't feel bad my insurance company REQUIRES that you have 2 ENGINES. 37'sailboat doesn't make any difference...my insurance agent tried to get around it considering my dingy engine as #2 but the insurance co wouldn't bite... had to pay $150 to get supplimental coverage from another underwritter for 30 day coverage...thats the cost of boating

thks lky but I've got my sights set on the exumas!.....a true paradise!....but just a few miles past Bimini and Allstates 100 mile boundary.

Power Squadron Insurance

Scott, I have a 33.5 Hunter,insured thru the Power Sqd.(you have to be a member)via St.Pauls Insurance.I am covered to 15 miles off shore, BUT when I go to the Bahamas, I call the broker and get coverage for a few weeks for $25!Pat
