Thanks for the answers on the damaged strut. I browsed through some of the archived posts to get info and someone suggested in one of their posts that insurance might cover a broken strut. I never even thought of that! I checked and sure enough, they cover it. So now, I will leave it to the experts. Also taking this opportunity to have a long overdue bottom job without the expense of the haul-out.
