Thks for all.the interest everyone it's an interesting discussion.What got me frustrated was insurance companys and how corrupt they are one co said they would insure my Boat only if I have them my house Insurance as well at double the price I'm paying now.Thats just wrong on some level for sure.
Not for the insurance companies.
When I go rooting around for cheaper boat insurance every few years (or when I can remember to) I always ask the question, "Um, excuse me, can I get any kind of a discount because I have a pleasure craft operator card ? The answer is always "no." I have never been warned that I don't even HAVE insurance if I don't have a PCOC as a minumum.
"Hello, AAA Auto Insurance ? Um, excuse me, can I get any kind of a discount because I have a driver's licence ?" "Hell yes son. Driver's licence, no driver's licence, we don't care. C'mon down."
Insurance company A: Homeowner 1200, Car, 700, Boat 250, Total 2150
Insurance company B: Homeowner 900, Car, 500, Boat 600, Total 2000
Which is the better deal?
Depends, are all the policies identical, especially the boat policy agreed hull value or cash value?
