I was checking the engine the other day and it struck me that the elbow joint from the exaust manifold and the exhaust riser are very very close to the bulkhead, and the bulkhead has no insulation on it. Does this present a fire hazard and should I put some insulation up?

Is it the hot part of the elbow joint or the part where the water gets injected. Mine has the elbow close to a wood frame and the cushions! But it'sthe cooled part so I am not worried.
If the pipes are hot
insulate the pipes, not the bulkhead. If they're not, like Hermit says, it's not an issue.
