I recently purchased a set of Raymarine ST60 instruments with separate wind, depth and speed displays. I was thinking of replacing the old steering post guard with one angled at the top and mounting the displays in a Navpod housing along with display for the ST4000 autopilot. BUT, I just read something (I forget exactly where, but I think it was in Ferenc Mate's book on sailboat maintenance) that cautioned against mounting instruments anywhere near the binnacle-mounted compass. I knew you needed to be cautions of speakers and other magnetic interference, but I never thought of the instrument displays in the same way. I also thought about mounting the displays in some way over the top of the companionway, but I am concerned they may interfere with the dodger.Where do all you H33 owners have your instrument displays mounted? Any problems with seeing them?As always, thanks for the insight.Tom FitzGibbonS/V Plan B
