I have a '93 Hunter 235 and the jam cleats just do cut it. I was going to put on some new cam cleats when I relaized I had noi idea how to properly mount them so as to not tear a hole in the deck when I applied tension to a sheet or haylard. I took the panel off that is inside below the winch assuming I'd have working room. Not a chance! Must I cut a hole in the inner shell to properly put a back plate on anything I mount on the deck? I saw where someone had mounted cam cleats on the cockpit bulhead just to the right and left of the companionway. Must I drill throught he outter and inner hull and have back plates all about the cabin as decoratice pieces?Any help will be appreciated.Hayden
