Stu thanks for the links and to everyone who gave their input. As with most boat questions Im realizing its not a cut and dry answer....I will keep reading to develop the system that works best for my application., As always I appriciate everyones help! happy holidays!!!! Rob

Trojan T105 6volts

I put in 6 volts for the simple reasons that I can't afford Gell - AGM seem to be getting cheaper too, and they are less sensative to boil than gell cells - and I can't lift an 8D. The 2 T105's give you 220 amp hours. I can buy them for around $55 each, which makes them less expensive than even the lead-acid 8D (deep cycle). 8 years is pretty good for batteries!
